Another Steel Diff thread.
I have a 1995 Vitara and looking at a steel front diff for a new locker upgrade.
Question is what model Grand Vitara's do I look for to get one out of?
Does a 2000 V6 model had the right diff?

the auto's didn't go to a steel diff til really late in the run.
is this the one you have the calmini kit in or another one? you'll want an early one as the pinion mounts differ & the calmini pinion mount wont bolt up to the later ones, think you'll need one from a 98-2000 from memory.

Yes it is for the one with the 3' Calmini lift.
Thanks for the heads up on that.

Driveline Services made my stub axle, with parts I supplied. I highly recommend them, I believe they have outlets in Qld

They do. I tried one when I was up there and they weren't interested, but did send me to a local truck parts shop that did it for me.
Worth asking.
