Heya All. 'Vitara' is ignored by search filter which makes it difficult to find. Friends '94 1.6L LWB Vitara needs a new radiator. They are prettry cheap on ebay just wondering if anyone can tell me if the Tall (425mm ) and Short (375mm) versions they got listed are model specific. The sellers recommend measuring before ordering howver her car and me are at tthe opposite ends of sydney today and i figured it doesn't hurt to ask here. (usually) |

Maybe have a look through this. It will give you the part no. for the radiator which you can then scroll down to the back and it shows a pic with all the dimensions. It looks like the tall one is manual only and the short one is manual/auto. http://www.repcotrade.com.au/files/dmfi ... mplete.pdf |

so she went out and measure it and said 'its about 40cm' which is exactly halfway between the two and not helpful so i told her to put down the phone and measure it properly and call me back *sigh* |

she just called me back, its the short one, wonder what the resoning behind it all is. Maybe the tall one was a factory option?? Are there diferent trim levels for the lwb? i thought they all where just 1.6l estates |

I reckon it is LWB SWB thing as you couldnt fit a taller one in a SWB, due to the chassis crossmember under the radiator. LWB is a different chassis so would have more room the SWB one I bought has a trans cooler as well |
