Has anyone had the issue of gear oil leaking through the yoke seal? Suzuki released this bulletin on it. Does this mean I can still have this fix done under warranty?
Here is the Bulletin: Issue No:Q-SN-006-R1 Subject: Oil leak Jimny older than vin: JSAFJB43V00453307
This bulletin is to inform you of the modification of Propeller Shaft No.1 For SN413.
The customer may complain of an oil leak from the cap part of the sliding yoke. This is due to the insufficient performance of the sealing adhesive used on the cap during quick acceleration.
If you encounter this please take your Jimny to your dealer.

The sliding yoke is the bit that goes into the rear of the gearbox and covers the output shaft spline. It's the front part of the primary shaft

Doesn't that suck I just replaced mine a few days ago. It's pretty easy to do once you get the seal out, it's just a prick to get it out. Make sure you have a big enough socket or round open object to tap the new seal back in. It only takes an hour tops to do and an $8 seal or there abouts.

It's Not the actual gear box spline seal. I replaced that thinking t was the problem. It's actually a round metal seal glued into the actual yoke part of the primary drive shaft. The glue suzuki used fails in certain models. The fix is a replacement shaft and it $410 what a joke. I might try remove the shaft and drop some aroldite down there and sealant on the outside. See if I can't seal it up a bit. Sigh* this zook is giving more trouble than its worth. Lucky I love driving it so much

hey guys
I've had the same problem. The problem is that shaft itself is not serviceable, on most cars the round metal sealed glued thing is serviceable but for some reason Suzuki decided this wasn't a good idea. I did the same thing as PORL I shimmied the the round metal thing off and used a glue type product that the guys at at a drive train specialist shop recommended. Even the universal joints aren't serviceable. BTW PORL is it holding up ? or is it still leaking?

Hrmm. I doscovered a couple of weeks ago that mine has been leaking for a while. I too just assumed that it weas the rear seal. Being 4 yers old and heavily modified, am I still entitled to the fix?
Is this bulletin available officially anywhere I can print off to take with me?
