ssssoooooooooooo I am looking for springs for the vit, rather than listening to some cuonter drongo tell me I need something I dont I would rather figure out my own stuff so would anybody have access to the magic book that lists the real specs of OME springs, like the spring rates and free heights of various vitara springs? I want to double check a rumour that some GV springs are the same rate as vit ones but taller |

Hi royce i dont know about the spring rate but tails83 came over and we fitted some GV springs to his Lwb vitara and the GV springs would not seat properly as the top diamiter of the spring was smaller than a Vit. they only sat ok when the rubber cup was removed for a 5mm lift. |

do yu have a scanner to the left or right of you coils and dia dont bother me, only rates and free height if you would be so kind to look up the vit and GV fronts, I'd be forever so grateful |

I have some kind of aftermarket GV spring in it now, thought to be donbinsons but not sure. if I assume that what I have is around 540 then a bit softer would be nice but not essential, I only have dual battery and steel bar to worry about, but like stiff suspension what I do have is no higher than stock GV spring in there too, no idea what lift I have now over stock though but a bit too much |

Royce.... Just curious as to whether u would know if an XL7 rear coil would fit into the rear of a '93 LWB Vitara? I'm also looking into wanting a longer rear Coil spring so I can remove the spacer all together. Also, longer Coil Spring + Longer Shocky = hopefully better wheel travel (Got to sort out increasing the Bump stops though) Do Dobinsons make a longer Coil for the '93 LWB Vit's cheers... rob |

Was there any Difference in the un-sprung length between the GV's & Vit Rear Coils?? I know the unsprung length of the KINGS is about 330mm rob |

Would you happen to have the top and bottom diameters for the GV springs? I have a mate who has some spare Vitara Calmini springs that I can try on my shorty GV. I already have OME springs/shocks and wonder if the Calmini springs will give me a little more height. The calmini springs: Front Free standing height 360mm Turns 12 Wire thickness 15mm Rear Free standing height 460mm Turns 13 Wire 12mm Diameter of top 90.5mm bottom 110mm |

whos running ome 960 lwb springs in a swb vit? opinions on how it rides would be great?? i had lwb v6 king springs in my last vit and boi did it ride like shit lol. dont want to repeat the same mistake twice. but need some lift and generally the " lifted" swb (front) springs dont lift vits at all. will be running 952 swb rears. |
