Hey guys I have a 94 Suzuki Sierra tray back ute wide track lwb it has a ca18det motor out of a nissan silva goes really well has 31s mtz think I wanna do a bit of offroad racing just seeing if enyone here nose much about it pritty sure I need a cams spec cage for most events enythink Els I need

I'm not sure about Mackay, but some Brisbane people go to http://sbmsc.com.au/ .

They don't require cams cages, but do need a good cage and cams non-speed licence.

Maybe search for motorsport clubs in your area.

You will require a CAMS spec cage to race in offroad racing which mainly consist of buggys and trophy trucks with the exception of a few guys running patrols etc

I know a CCDA cage is about 4-6k depending on builder so that would give you a rough idea of a price, you will also need a current cams license to enter events

A mate of mine build a flat tray one with a ca18det down here and sold it a couple of years back, it had a front mount, does yours?

Cams is more than just offroad racing, you could also do rally sprints and rallies if you set the car up for it.

4-6k is ridiculous for an open top vehicle like a sierra where the cage can be removed for easy access and full welding. CCDA specs aren't even that stringent, if you can't get a CCDA cage done for under $2000 I'd be looking elsewhere.
