As my Jim is has bit over 15000kms on the clock I need to get its first service, just want to know how much other Jimny owners pay for factory servicing so
I know what the damage will be and if there is discrepancies between dealerships.

I know they are crap and I would do a better job but this is my work car so the expense is a deduction plus I want it logged in the service logbook.

I'd be inclined to find a local mechanic you trust. They can stamp the book for you too

I just had mine done by a dealer. $490 plus they tried throwing heaps of other stuff on aswel

Try Ultratune. Generally found them competitive and will do all log book servicing.

Yeah I won't be going back. I could service it myself 4-5 times and if it died with the savings I could do an engine swap. Ill be going to a local mech next time

Rang the Suzuki dealership in Adelaide today, quoted me $270 (supplying my own oil) they mentioned that on the first service both diffs get an oil change.

That is right. I paid extra for my first service to get the transmission oil changed as well. My diff oil was quite black on the first change. I think Suzuki might pack graphite into the bearings when they are assembled or something like that so they change the oil on both diffs at the first service. At least that was the explanation the dealer gave me. Never been black again so it seems right.

A basic service ( oil, filter ) comes under a swift service price. My first major service was $350 at Suzuki as they matched what auto leaders quoted me. I just had the 30,000 done plus they flushed brake fluid and fitted my extended brake lines for the same price.

costs me about roughly 150$ max to change all the fluids oil/filter,flush brake lines, coolant,diffs,gearbox and trannie and thats all with the top of range oils full synthetic ect
