Post subject:  Can you adjust valve springs on jimny?

Hey guys I'm looking at buying a jimny, the guy says it had rebuild 2-3000kms ago, he is saying it needs the valves tightened now it has been run in, im a motorbike fan and normally adjust shims on them etc, but as far as I was aware you can't tighten or adjust on the cars? Or am I being a noob etc. thanks guys

Noisy top end after rebuild, could be tappets or valves, g13bb 99 jimny

Most motorcycles are adjusted with shims most cars are adjusted more easily with a lock nut and screwdriver or Allen key.

M13a are done with shims, along with alot of modern motors.

the g13bb would be the old feeler gauge, spanner & screw driver technique.
