Hey guys,
My Sierra is running 31s with standard gearing, to make it a bit more driveable till I get some 6.5 gears In my transfer can it handle being driven about 20km a day (work and back) with hubs unlocked and in low range? Or will I burn something up.
Cheers.

Even at max speed in low you will piss off every other motorist stuck behind you.
A sierra is drivable enough with 31's for road only use. Don't use 5th and you'll be ok.

It'd actually be kinda usable though, with 31s that works out at about 4500 rpm at 100 in 5th low. Seriously just stick to high range and don't use 5th though.

It's max 70kph to work just wondering if I need to (ie quicker off the line) will it harm anything. I'm not familiar with zooks normally drive a patrol ; )

Had my Sierra for around 15 years. Due to back and leg issues, I often used low ratio in peak hour traffic with front hubs unlocked, never noticed any bad effects.
