Hi guys. It's a pleasure to join your forum. I have been a member on Bigjimny uk for a number of years.

I have recently experienced some big problems with my Jimny when my engine started knocking, overheating and quickly seized after a local garage recommended, supplied and fitted an M15A VVT engine to my non VVT 2000 plate M13A Jimny. The garage will not accept any liability. Before I take the matter up with my local trading standards department does anyone know if it is in fact possible to do the above conversion without altering the wiring harness or changing the ECU. What is the likely outcome of the engine change please? Seizure perhaps?
