| Post subject: | Another (quick) RUF question |
Hi, Been reading different posts about doing an RUF, saw one (can't remember who by) extremely good write up where the cassis was extended and the rear spring hangers reversed. Went and looked at mine and the hangers point the other way already. Can someone please advise if the hangers have been altered at some point already? Or if its stock like that on my 1984 LWB ute? Reason I ask is that there's quite a bit of bodgy welding on it, maybe someone did that, and put rear springs in with the extended shackles it has Attachment: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374274305.163432.jpg

That looks stock to me. NT hangers are much smaller than WT hangers. Steve. |

Measure the spring length. From memory the main leaf lengths were ~935mm for the front and ~1010mm for the rear in my car. |

Thanks Steve, come to think of it the write up I was reading was for a WT I think. And good idea, I'll check the front against the rear. Rich |

sounds like the posts were of 2stroker's WT RUF, it's probably the neatest ones getting around. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4269&hilit=stealth+ruf viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30819&hilit=stealth+ruf |

This is how my RUF turned out but again it's a WT. Your NT should be a lot easier to do ![]()

Sorry to hijack the thread but I had a couple of RUF questions and it seemed silly to start a new thread... I want to do RUF's on mine, planning to run 2" lifted OME springs. Will I need longer shocks and shock towers than standard? Can you just cut the stock shock mounts off and weld them in a couple of inches higher or what are good aftermarket towers? Cheers. |
