I have a 96. Sierra. Model SJ80, engine is a 1.3 G13BA. It has an Aisan carby on it which has issues with broken parts and stripped threads from its previous owner. What is the most economical fix to this? I am in Gladstone. Where is the best place to purchase a new carb from? What is it I am actually after? Thanks.

My recommendation is get a Suzuki sierra carb.

There are quite a few variants of that particular Aisin carb with many interchangeable parts. Not knowing which of your threads are stripped and what you are missing etc makes getting a Suzuki specific one a really good idea rather than trying to save a few dollars getting another one and swapping out the relevant parts. Add rebuild kit and go from there.

If you can afford it, take it to a carby specialist and get a full rebuild. You will have nothing but reliable trouble free motoring for years after :peaceout:
