Hey all, Went and did a bit of a hill climb yesterday, the first workout for the engine since fitting a thermo fan (and the shiney new AVM hubs!). Temp went up, but nothing bad. Took a little while to cool back down though, even facing the rad into a stiff breeze. Would there be any drama's in wiring up the air con fan as well as the thermo? The air con fan is a 'pusher' and only overlaps the thermo fan by 1/3rd, and there would easily be 6 inches between them. Also, would I just run a wire from the 'trigger' off the thermatic switch (Davies Craig one, as per the proper set up) to the trigger on the air con fan relay? Cheers, Paul |

did you have the engine running to pump the coolant when it was cooling down? but yes you can, but put a diode on that wire so the aircon doesnt trigger the thermo fan |

Thanks Royce! Yep, the engine was going, and by a while, I only mean about 1.30 mins for the fan to stop once we stopped on top of the hill, and it was going from about 1/3 of the way up the hill (about 200m long, maybe more - it took a while in 1st low!) I can get a suitable diode from Dick Smiths I assume? I had forgotten that electcity flows in either direction |

yeah IN4004 will do the trick, band on diode on the AC relay end also check that the AC relay is positive switched and not negative switched 1st |
