The two screws your adjusting are both idle screws. One is for when the engine is cold and reduces when the choke comes off and the other is for when the engine is warm.
The mixture screw is tamper proof and hidden a bit closer to the inlet manifold.
Screw on trottle arm is for cold start adjustment and can only be adjusted when cold. You only can turn the screw when the engine is off. Start and note revs, turn off and lift up trottle arm to adjust.
The screw closer to the front on same side is the warm idle. Warm the engine up and adjust this for desired idle.
thanks alot! i eventually fixed it and got them both to the right idle but the engine was quite warm so ill see how it goes tomorrow morning
