I'm not certain that a double DIN will fit an SQ - the bottom opening, which usually has the clock in it, may not have the depth (front to back) space required, going from memory the heater plenum may be in the way. |

that doesn't worry me much. is there any other CD player that can replace the stock stereo. the CD player doesn't work in ours, and we want to replace it. the stock stereo isn't really squared so how does another CD player fit? unless there isn't a CD player that's fits the SQ. |

Yep open her up and get som measurements, see what can fit. Pretty sure you can square the opening up its more about depth of models to see what fits. |

Pretty sure I have seen pics of it pulled out. If I recall correctly from what I read, you need two flat hooks inserted about mid level on the sides of the unit to pull it out. I also think I have seen it replaced with a 2DIN unit, but it was sticking out a bit. Very keen to see what you uncover. My CD player hasn't died yet, but am dying for a simple 'line in' jack |

I take back what I said, it's a bunch of screws; see http://www.jamessimpson.co.uk/suzuki-gr ... o-removal/ Also http://paulaxford.com/html/grandvitara/ ... moval.html See for yourself, not much space in there. [edit] also found some bracket kits on ebay, but according to what I see, there is only space for a single DIN, the rest being boxed as storage of some sort |
