I'm wanting to fit 245 70 17 tyres to my 2010 GV so need that little bit extra clearance but want to retain stock comfort I possible, these spacer lift kits look good and are quite cheap just wondering if anyone has any experience with them? And would the 35mm lift be enough to clear the larger tyres? http://www.srcustoms.ca/index.php?page= ... &Itemid=56 |

There's a few different spacer kits around, Rocky Road Outfitters was the first I believe, seem to work OK, you will need longer shocks on the rear though, so factor that into your costs. BUT . . . you do not need lift to fit those tyres or any tyre to a NGV. What limits the NGV is the horizontal width of the wheel well (the distance between 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock). If your tyre touches anywhere, it will be on the black plastic inner guard, if so just soften with a heat gun and push in a little. |

cheers guys, how much lift will going to 235 or 245 70s give me? I'm not sure exactly how its worked out. I thought the small lift along with the tyres would help greatly off road, each time I've taken the car out I seem to belly out constantly |

First mod should be tyres, second bash plate and last would be suspension. Good if you can afford all 3 at once, if not, then lift it last of all. I believe the std tyre on a 2010 is a 225/65 17, this is 28.5 inches tall, a 245/70 17 is 30.5 tall, so you gain a whopping 1 inch of clearance. There's various tyre calculators out there, I use http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator Beware that not all 245/70 17 tyres measure the same, some might be a full 30.5 inches, another brand may only be 30 inches. Have a look at Ironman 4x4 for bash plates for NGVs. |

Ironman lift, but it doesn't allow much flex. Try dobinsons, contact dank at KPD in the business section. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20219 Tyres are maxxis bighorns, good grip offroad, reasonably cheap, paid $250 each 3 or 4 years ago. BFG KM2s are another good tyre but cost big $$$. Ironman does a pretty good plate, I think it's around $400 http://www.ironman4x4.com/html/ubprotection.html |

SR customs finally got back to me, $395 for the lift + camber bolts shipped, the lift is only $160 and the bolts $40 so they are charging $195 for shipping? I don't think so... |

I would say suspension before tyres otherwise you're wasting time and money on alignments twice, depending on the interval between the 2 obviously. |
