so i will be running a 34x9.5 swamper on my ute.. just looking at rim options.. i have a set of 1ltr steel wheels 5.5inch wide units. thinking of running a weld on beedlock kit... id like to keep the rig narrow as i can so these would suit? what have other people run them on? i love low pressures so just a stock 7inch rim wont cut it i dont think. |

I wouldnt run 5.5s with beadlocks, its still going to be very narrow for a 9.5 tyre. but that being said i wouldnt use a 7inch plus beadlock either. 6inch would be perfect. |

Steve ran his swampers on 16x5.5 F100 wheels with beadlocks. |

if your running weld on beadlocks its the same as having an extra 1/2" of wheel width, or there abouts, as the bead sits outside the existing bead lip on the outside of the rim. so a weld on beadlocked 5.5" wheel would be 6". |

I'd run that. It will be fine. You might find rim bending is an issue if you use stock 1.0/NT 15" rims. I'd use WT rims- the centre is stiffer. Steve. |

Thanks steve that was the info i was after, i have a set of w/t rims here also so they will proberbly get the ticket, i was leaning towards the Nt ones as they are a better looking rim. do you know what the offsets are? |

Do bear in mind that with 24's on stock rims you'll have approximately no steering lock until the tyres catch the springs if you are NT. You' might get away with it if you are planning WT with NT spring spacing, but I reckon it will still hit quite badly. Steve. |

You'd have full lock with 24s. My 28" bartreads on 0 offset rims tag the springs. With 34s you'd have the turning circle of the QE2. |

yeah i am going to try to keep it as narrow as possible. wt diff with nt spacing.. what offset do you run your 35's on steve? its a very narrow rig. |

Well, at over 13" wider than a NT sierra, I don't believe you. I also have no leaves to hit and run 3.75" BS on an 8.5" rim. Steve |

wheel spacers are a option only if i Need them.. i loved the way richy drove.. the narrow approach worked well down here so id like to continue on with that trend. |
