Post subject:  What front suspension setup is your VIT running?

Hey vitara owners
I have sagged old man emu front springs and I want to replace them with another set cause they ride so well but I want a bit more lift not a lot just enough to stop the tyres scrubbing a lot on the bottom of the inner wheel arch

Question I'm asking is what springs/shocks are you running with or without spacers?
Currently I'm running old man emu springs with ironman shocks no spacers.

I have an Arb steel bar fitted Along with dual batteries and 6000lb winch with dyneema rope

Fill me in on your setups please so I can make a decision.

I've heard gv springs can fit straight in?

GV springs will fit, and probably give you a bit more lift (depending on which ones you get) but they are also generally quite firm - firmer than your OMEs would be, especially if they're old and worn. I have GV coils in the front of my V6 with bar, winch, big battery etc and they are quite nice.

If the main issue is scrubbing on the wheel arch there is some fairly basic hammering/chopping you can do in there to create more room, otherwise you're going to keep making contact on compression anyway.

What size tyres are you running? Shocks? Standard control arms etc?

I'm running 31x10.5r15 tires, standard arms, ironman lifted shocks, extended brake lines, I've cut the wheel Arch back a fair bit but just at the bottom if the firewall part I think it is called is rubbing.

If you're happy all round, try a small spring spacer up front,
less expense if you don't like it, easy removal.

I have OME coils up front with spacers and Dobinsons +40 struts.
I only have a light alloy front bar, no winch, no extra batteries, and mine are excellent.

U really need spacers with the ome coils.
We just put some in a stock x90 and the rear sat 50mm higher then the front
I think we added 16mm spacer to level it up a bit
