Hey all, i have the jimny bits 3" lift + jimnybits front radius arms + 3" trailmaster comfort +215/75/15 bf km2 on stock alloy wheels i use the 25mm spacers. heard on the forum that there is problems with 32mm spacers, someone say that he change bearings 3 times in the past 18 monthes.. plus king pins bearings. what is your experience with stock wheel and 32mm wheel spacing? thanks all Guy |

Assuming jimnys run a positive offset. I have had little issue on Sierra bearings and -25 rims with taller and wider tyres. |

Ive driven with spacers on my sierra nearly every day for 7 years without any dramas I change bearings every 2-3 years |

I was running 25mm spacers, on + offset rims (Christover has them now) I didnt notice bearings to wear any faster than offset rims. I was doing rear bearings every 3-6months, imo due to a combination of carrying too much weight, bit too much mud. I would gain offset through the use of rims, if required. But I prefer to have the tyres as close together as possible, extra width drops you into the ruts. Down side of wheel spacers I had one wheel come off due to wheel spacer failure. The nuts worked themselves a little loose, the alloy seemed a little soft (was a LROR kit) and the nuts wiggled until they ripped themselves out, and a wheel came off on the return trip of a weekend wheeling adventure. Luckily it was a dirt road, I wasn't going too fast, and no one got hurt. It really turned me off the idea of wheel spacers, I kept using them, with loctite and it wasnt a problem. But I got rid of them, once I didnt have the alloys any more. |

One set i did have the studs wernt up to par and started stripping so i used ef falcon studs from memory which were close to the same size but had to redrill the spacers ever so slightly. They were also longer which let me run some of the thicker yankee alloy rims |

Biggest issue with wheel bearing failure is people not following the FSM instructions for installation. I've been running 15x7-38mm rims with 31x10.5's for yonks and not had any issues. Previous to that running 15x7-15's i went through a set of wheel bearings (one of the fronts actually collapsed!) in a matter of months - and it was because the clown that fitted them didn't follow the FSM, he just did them up snug and put it all back together... I took it back and pointed out the correct tightening procedure, which he then followed and that set lasted about 3 years. They were replaced when i fitted CRMO to the front and were still ok, but figured new ones might as well go in anyway given their age. |

My front wheel bearings last ages, its the rear that I would only get 3-6 months from. |

Yeah mud ruins EVERYTHING... i don't really drive mud much at all anymore for that reason - i managed to get a set of rear brake shoes to last just 5 months once =) |
