I went wheeling on the weekend at sandy creek just past Woodford, when trying to get in to 4 low it took a few pushs of the button and about 15 mins to get it out, never done that before, is it time for manual hubs?? im sure I read about it somewhere in the past, could someone pass on that topic if they remember it or any answers thanks.... |

If it's not coming out of low it's not a hub issue. I'd be more inclined to thing there was a little bind up in your case. Reversing and then trying to come out of low to high should fix it but might take a couple of goes. |

were you going from 2H to 4L? i have found changing into 4H difficult on the fly if i dont back off the accelerator, same with disengaging 4H to 2H. the dog clutch in the transfer that engaces the planetary set for 4L dosent always slip right into place. driving in anything other then a streight line rotates thins that change this if your allready in 4H. or get under the car and rotate the front shaft. usually i just rev the car to 3k rpm to increase the inlet manifold vacuum. this makes the hubs click in much faster. |

wow no, never from 2H to 4L and I always stop when changing into 4H or 4L. its the first time ive had any trouble at all, il try the reving and see.. cheers |

2H to 4H you can safely shift on the fly 4H to 4L you can shift with the clutch in rolling slowly, ie under 5kph. if your over 5 kph it will beep at you and wont let you shift moving while changing in and out of 4L can eliminate temporary binding and let it shift. |
