Hi everyone, Sooo long story short i have bought 4.9:1 samurai gears from Long range but once i have replaced the gears and got an mechanic to press them all back together there is a quiet large gap between the gears the transfercase is a W/T is it makes any difference!?!??! Please any info will help on why this has happened (i was following the instructions for the 6.5:1 just minus the grinding part) |

You might think it's a W/T case , but you've shown the gears from a 1.0lt case. You need a 1.3 set low out put gear to replace the one at the bottom left in your 1st pic. |

Hi 303zuke all those gears besides the the bottom left are from the 4.9:1 kit , i am more than positive that its and W/T because the case fits perfect up with the ORA conversion kit for a jimny but i do not know what gears were in it because i have just recently bought the T case. Also all the flanges have a bigger bolt holes compared to the 1L Tcase i have out the front of my house which i posted about a few days ago. this is the kit |

Someone possibly swapped the flanges from a 1.3 to suit the 1.0 like i did for that bit lower reduction in the jimny! |

Mate I'd say it's a later model 1l case just with out the handbrake on it you will need that center gear set from a 1.3l to make it all work |

9/1983 onwards 1l case uses the same casing as 1.3 transfers, hence the ORA kit can be used. Flanges, hand brake and mounts can be swapped/deleted to make a 1l case identical to a WT case(and thus bolt into a WT), just with different ratios. It sounds like that's what you have, that's a 1l low range output gear anyway. You need the low range output gear from a 1.3l transfer. Plenty of people should have this kicking around from when they put 6.5s in. |

It's a shame you stripped down a 1.0 case, because you will use NONE of the 1.0 gears. You will still need to find a 1.3 low output gear (NOT the centre gear!!!) and the 1.0lt transfer is the desirable case to sell. Now you have to put it back together to get some money out of it. That gear has 47 teeth, you need one from a 1.3 case (either N/T or W/T) with 56 teeth. Tooth counts are below: |
