Does anyone know if the rear axles from an ABS Jimny are the same as the non ABS models. That would mean that the ABS just have the tone ring in the same place as the retainer. I am chasing a spare set of axles and working out if I can use the non ABS ones which are more readily available. Mike |

Thanks Timmy. So I can take an axle from an earlier model and just add new bearings and ABS tone rings. Looks like the way to go to get a spare set. The price of the ABS axles complete is way too high. |

How much of a hurry are you in? I have a floater kit to put in soon... Just depends if I have the time/cash to do it relatively soon |

In no hurry at all. These are going to be spares. I am doing a backing plate conversion (see link). I looked at the floating axle conversion but decided just to make my rear axles easy to remove without the brake backing plate. http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/index.ph ... lates.html I plan to carry spare axles complete with bearings. If you had some for sale in say the next 6 months that would be fine. If you plan to do something in that time frame I will wait. PM me if you have an idea of what you want to sell them for. |
