i have come on this forum to ask a question about changing the carby on a sierra 1.3 85 model. this is a car on our farm and the carb is shot. the shafts are all worn and sucks air from places it shouldnt. i have checked forums and most are about which carb when changing engines.
i need a carb for the standard engine somthing which will bolt on and i can get from a car being wrecked ,the car model i should look for . Not carby model numbers as this means nothing to me. if you have a carb you would like to sell let me know. remember not everybody knows as much as you do about your great cars.
thanks

Suzuki swifts, holden barina's use the same engine, so if theres a wreckers close by, thats your best bet.

And obviously you can always get a carby rebuild kit from an auto retail store or ebay.

3K and 4K corolla carby will bolt on as will Daihatsu Charade 3 cylinder carby.

A nikki carby from an old hiace van bolts on as well and it mechanical advance so no vacuum shit to worry about. makes more power too the primary and secondarys are bigger. might need to get a right angle intake pipe as well becuae that tin carby top doesn't fit as the inlet on the nikki carby is slightly larger. Was a great mod, made heaps more power.

good luck!
