Hey I was after some sunraysia or sunraysia style rims for my jimny and was just wondering what companies sell them here in Australia?? and how much they cost on average ? Cheers

Any tyre shop will be able to get them. Typically, you ask for F100 wheels. There's to many brands, sizes, offsets, styles and so on to list.

Buying new steel wheels you should expect to pay between $60 and $100 each depending on what you want. My white 15x7s were $62 each from tyrepower, I think they're CSAs.

Sanraysia closed down years ago, their name just carries on to that style of wheels.

Oh really didn't know that, so is the F100 the same stud pattern as the Jimny?

Can't be 15x7 -neg0 or it will rub on the steering arms. Neg13 will be sweet

Speedy do a neg 15 which is fine if you chop guards

I tried -6 15x7 rims on my jimny and they rubbed on the knuckle steering arm thingo. I settled on 16x7 sunnies with -15 offset. They fit great.

With the offset rims will I need to add flares?? I wanted to keep the same specs as the stock rim just want the different look.

with a correctly setup panhard, my 30x9.5's on the speedy desert rat 15x7 -15mm offset have the tread just inside the guards, and the side wall bulges just outside the guards, by 2mm or so...

Original F100 wheels are 15x8 -25 I think and yeah they fit

Be careful what brand you buy. I bought some new CSA Ranger http://www.mullins.com.au/stw.asp sunraysia type wheels and A/T tyres for my old Feroza about 7 years ago. I had endless issues trying to get them balanced with horrendous steering wheel wobbles at various speeds. New tyres were fitted (after consulting the tyre company) with a similar result. The tyre shop then noticed sideways run out on the rims as they were trying to balance them. New rims were ordered, but they were exactly the same!?

I ended up paying extra for alloys and it was fixed.

There were also problems due to some brands cracking- details were circulating on various forums with pics from Aussie mining company vehicles IIRC. From the pin striping (red and blue) around the rim edge, they appeared to be the exact rims I had. Edit - found it http://mines.industry.qld.gov.au/assets ... ert211.pdf

Bottom line- they can be cheap and nasty. If you could find some OEM steel wheels they would probably be a lot better made.

That's a bit worrying. Do those types of rim usually have the pinstriping? over here its a characteristic of Weller Wheels but they tend to be quite robust as they were originally designed for rally cars.

Different brands seem to have different coloured pin stripes eg. http://www.speedywheels.com.au/steel.htm

They still could come from the same (Chinese?) factory though!

Really? Shit didn't know about that... Do you know of any strong brands that don't break?
