So I bought a jimny with a blown head gasket /head found a cheap replacement engine threw that in now it's idling at nearly 3 grand the engine was running fine any ideas ? Common for jimnys ? |

Only way for it to idle high is there is air getting into the inlet manifold when it shouldn't. If the jimny has an idle air control valve check it is hooked up properly and is operating correctly. |

Are you using the throttle body off your old engine or the one that came with the new engine? If you're using the new one and it had been sitting for a while bearing in the IACV may have seized. Does the revs just sit at 3000 or does it pulse up and down? |

Yer the one that came with new engine and it sits at 2 grand when cold then goes up to three once warm |

Try swapping the TB from your old motor. |
