My SWB Vit has an awesome driveline vibration.
It starts at 70 gets worse the faster I go.

I put a new transfer in on the weekend. Noticed the diff end uni was seized, changed it for a new repco brand uni.
Transfer end is recent, Toyo and never gave me issues.

40mm lift. I tried driveshaft spacer and ball joint spacer combos. No change.

Any other ideas? Reckon the uni could be a dud?

Out of phase in what way? 1 piece shaft.

Worse or better since the spacer? SWB vits are well known for vibrations with lift.

I have just discovered that the Toyo unis fitted to my Sierra need circlips on the inside of the yoke, whereas the original unis had circlips on the outside. Without the circlips on the inside, the crosses are not centred and that causes driveshaft vibration. In my case the garage didn't fit the circlips even though they were supplied with the replacement unis, but just put the original outer ones back in(!)

Woah there johnmath- you're talking about two different unis there. Internal circlip unis are for 1.0 sierras. Whilst you can fit 1.0 unis into a 1.3, you still have to use external clips- 1.3 yokes aren't machined to accept internal clips.

No noticeable change with each and both spacers.

It drove fine on my trip yesterday till about 15-20mins of 100km/h. Then it started vibrating.
That's why I suspect the uni.

My Toyo ones have external clip and have had no issues.

Uni the obvious suspect... how 'new' was the transfer? Replace any bearings or anything that might not have seated properly?

It was a good condition used one.
The one I removed, the bearings are on the highway somewhere.

i bunged uni's in the blagon & somehow drugged one & was a bit average at speed, replaced it & it was fine.

whats the pinion angle like, can't be that bad seeing you're only running spacers?

With one eye shut the yokes are best part parallel.

Nah. And it went from fine to new uni then vibes.

Ive no idea on how you fitted the new uni's but if its done incorrectly you can crush a seal which means there is no wiggle movement, but it will slide up and down on ome of the UNIs axis's. Ive done it before and had similar issues.

In my unis there is 1mm of free play between the external clips and the bearing cups, which have grooves for internal clips. I don't know if the garage put in the wrong parts or what, but the unis they put into my yokes will take internal clips and that fixes the problem. I am just saying...

I bought two new unis. Put them in. Made it heaps better, still there.
Got my driveshaft spacer, refaced it, put it in made it a bit better.

Transfer is probably rooted too haha.
