Hi All,

I need to replace my ECU on my 2003 Grand Vitara, finally found one on ebay that matches - yipee... its been a long hunt!
But now I need to a scan tool to rekey the ecu to the immobiliser.

I guess I could just take it to a dealer but I feel like they are going to charge me some ridiculous amount just to hit a few buttons on a computer. Plus I would rather learn how to do it myself.
Would anyone happen to have the appropriate scan tool I need or know of a decent auto elec that could help me out?
I'm in Melbourne.

I think you'll need to go to a dealer. I've got an X431 and it doesn't do anything like that on my '04 XL-7; I'm not sure if one of the clone SDT's (Suzuki Diagnostic Tools) would be any better as it will probably be software locked for that function?

On an SDT immo functions can only be accessed using a password only available through the Suzuki dealer network. If you buy a used ECU then its best to get it with the immo and lock set. It is possible to hack it but you would need to find someone in Aus that can do that.
