Long shot but...

Is there a Vit or GV diff housing that has the pumpkin offset same as Jimny, or are they all centered?

Alternatively, is there a housing from another vehicle that will fit a Vit centre and be close enough to and have the same offset as Jimny?

Good on you for asking the question and all, but how likely did you think this was?

Vitara is wide. You'll notice that I cut 160mm off of a NT vitara rear housing to end up with the floater the same width as WT sierra. I think they actual WMS difference is 110mm between the two cars.

I would have thought your Jimny is 4.1 ratio. There is no 4.1 ratio Vitara rear.

If your car is 4.3 geared, then I guess you can run a V6 GV manual rear or something to match front and rear... but all the work on the rear - cutting down/brackets etc doesn't fix the tiny front centre or help with gearing.

as both vitara rear and Jimny rear are 26 spline, you could always graft a Vitara rear centre into your Jimny rear axle and use jimny axles/floater/brakes etc, assuming they aren't also a weak link.

Personally, I'd be troubleshooting the front before I bothered with the rear. If the front was built with a Sierra third member and knuckles, you'd then have access to vitara diff gears, cheap 26 spline cromos, and proper wheel bearings. Once that's done, the rear will look like a no brainer.

Steve.

I could make an offset housing for you easy enough.
