I was wondering if it was possible to mount the arm on top with drilling out the hole a little bit bigger for the tapered bolt to fit through for less issues with full-flex steering?

Why?

Not concerned about it binding on compression?

sure it's not the CV binding? :?

here's an idea, get lockers & stop chasing needless flex.

I love flex :D Trying to make the most out of the control arms. Might be the CV's.
I have new steering rods and will take it into the alignment place to see what they can do when they fit them.

U will have massive bump steer
If they are binding u could drill out the taper to suite 80 tre
U then will need to machine new long adjuster nuts that join the steering arms together

Yep bumpsteer will go up. Might be a small change in a straight line but a bumpy windy road will be terrible.
