Hi, Just had to pass this on. Been buying a few of their parts now mainly rubber stuff eg sway bar links, bushes, but also have a idler pulley from them. All very good quality and verry cheap. There sway bar links is what made me purchase other items from them as they where much more beifier than any others i have had before. http://auto-parts.com.au/amfinder/?find ... 6--1570317Their a german manufacture making parts mainly for Jap cars but have extended to other markets. Also for anyone that wants to diag their suzuki's I have been using X431 IDIAG for around 2 years now will work on any car with a 16pin diag connector and possibly on the 14pin if buy a cable from someone like Rhinopower Basically its a bluetooth connector that you plug into your diagnostic port, you either have the Apple Version or the Android. Note they are not compatible with each other. I have the apple one by mistake but would prefer the android as has better graphing options esp on saving data. On first connect you install the app which will take you through the connection settings to the Idiag, Then you will need to purchase the Suzuki License (software) from either within the app or from DBSCAR.com you get free upgrades for 12months then its around 40us per year but thats only optional if want to scan later suzuki's. You will get pretty much same functionallity as the TECH2 and SDT eg Live Data, Fault Codes, and Test Modes eg RPM Control, Fixed Spark for checking timing, EGR vavle test, ABS Acuator test for each wheel, Brake test etc etc etc, also can set alarms and monitor while driving good for overheating issues, ABS issues etc etc. http://www.x431store.com/wholesale/andr ... scan-tool/

I don't think it's as functional as an SDT - mine couldn't do any security type stuff nor climate control on my 2004 XL-7. They also didn't even do any software for my Kizashi (hopefully that's changed, but I'm not holding my breath....)

It's has pretty much the same options as the sdt which doesn't do alarm either. I would of thought it would of auto detected the kizashi.. Latest update does a full lengthy scan of edu,a pcm etc etc and says what's available

I'll have to hook it up tomorrow and see what happens. I had all the fun in the world updating the Idiag Android app -similar to when I first installed it (it wouldn't install from the Playstore.) I had it continually crashing after it stalled downloading the latest update- so I had to uninstall and down load it again. That meant I had to try and remember all my log in details to get the app working again. (After finally remembering my log in details, it appears to recognise that I've already paid for the Suzuki bit. But I'll have to hook it up to a car to check for sure.) I hate the user interface on the program. Some buttons even pop up with Chinese on them - like when it was stalled updating.

Weird sounds like you have the old test version that use to be o. The store. Made big changes recently.
I have to make a video comparing it to the sdt. It also seems to work different I. Phones than tablets. Also remember reading it had issues with certain versions of Android but later update fixed it working on Android 4.4 etc.

I updated the Android Idiag app, it recognised the Suzuki component was also out of date and updated that. I think it updated the firmware on the interface too? I then hooked it up to the Kizashi and went in under "Japanese" models for Suzuki. There's no Kizashi option listed but it does indeed talk to numerous systems (eg. engine, climate control, BCM, ABS, SRS etc.) It was interesting being able to turn stuff like the radiator fans (low/med/high) / headlights/ interior lights/ hazards/ footwell and glovebox light on/off via the tablet. There was one system it didn't recognise (security?) but that to be expected I guess. I'll have to hook it up to the XL-7 again and see if I can log into the climate control on it and see what's wrong. It's been flashing fault codes for the 7 years we've owned it. PS: The user interface still sucks IMHO. There isn't much that's intuitive about it. I think "Manual Transmission" was also written as "Manual Transition"

Yeah its a work in progress for them but it works and pretty cheap compared to other tools. They do have there pro range too. It would of done a firmware update as well to support the latest android etc etc.
It sounds like you are manually selecting the model which are all the Pre OBD2 vehicles the XL-7 is in there, i just do auto select.
I can scan for security faults on my XL-7 but do nothing else, maybe the security systems here are different than else where. I dont even get the option on the SDT and it has last years software.
Only things i can get is, ABS, Airbag, and ECU, and bits of security if mess around with a bit, but thinks i have 32 keys programmed haha.

You've got the pre face lift XL-7 - so no climate control?
I think the electronics are a fair bit different on the update models - like my 2004 with the updated fasica / climate control. I've read a SDT can be used to read the codes and do diagnostics.
The A/C light occasionally flashes randomly- indicating faults. There are some "how to's" on reading the codes (without the SDT) but I've never been able to get anything out of it. The A/C is still cold (or hot if you turn the heater up) but I don't think it's regulating the set temperature like it should. Not a big problem, but it would be good to know what is supposedly wrong.

Could be the rear thermister mine played up a few years ago. Suzuki in cit didn't know what it was or had a part number.sits on side of fan box. And controls the valve to keep output at 3 degrees or what ever.
I think the 2004 has a additional body computer while previous models don't. Ecu and alarm should be the same.
You can try my sdt if the Idiag can't see the climate control if want.
I have the jap software and Canadian in it.

Got the X431 hooked up to the XL-7.
I had a lot more luck this time with it - using the auto detect function under "Suzuki Japanese" a lot of systems came up. I got the A/C climate control faults read and one of them logged was the daylight (sun) sensor. I discovered by putting up the windscreen shade when it's parked that it's generating a fault! There were a couple of other faults (climate control related) that I cleared and they didn't return. All of the live data for it checked out okay with the temp dial matching up with the data the X431 displayed and all the other switches affecting the data readings like I think they should. The ABS historical sensor faults that I cleared about 12mths ago hadn't returned.
I discovered there's a "fixed spark mode" under the engine system actuators test- I'm guessing that would activate the much sought after factory fixed ignition timing for setting the ignition advance on later models?

Fixed spark mode is for setting and checking the timing, just puts in back to 5degrees, adjusting the timing is something i want to do, but the previous owners stripped the Security head. I was able to adjust RPM as well eg set it to 2500rpm etc.
I remember reading about the DRL's making a fault code on the aircon switch light. wouldn't think a sunviser would cause it haha.
