Hey guys, have taken my sierra on the beach a few times and have cleaned her top to bottom upon returning, but im just wondering if anyone has any special secrets to making sure there is no rust. or places on sierras that are extremely prone to rust ? Cheers Andy |

I see you have a coily. I would remove the plastic trim from the sills as a minimum and also pay attention to the chassis around the front control arm mounts. Also check behind the rearward mounts on the floorpan for the front seats. These spots rust from the inside out. |

Yeah,on sills underneath plastic strip,when we were looking for a Coily to buy they had all gone there,some worse than others.Also windscreen surround. Hijacking Thread but does anyone know where to get Naval Jelly in Oz?,i need a thick Phospheric acid gel/paste that will cling to vertical metal.Ebay have listings only in the USA. Edit..beaten to the punch. |
