Ok I've got the head off my vitara, and it appears ill be looking for another engine or a full rebuild, cos there is a nice ridge around the bores half way up, I live around Adelaide do any of you other locals point me in the direction of a reputable suzuki wrecker, or a private engine. Another suggestion a mat had was to get a Vitara front cut (could be an EFI one then) and do the swap over as I'm also gonna be looking at swapping out the auto for a manual in the near future. Would there be anywhere around adelaide that would do a vitara half cut? and what sort of price would they charge?

well Ill talk to my boss about the engines state and see what he suggests I do, But if i dont end up using it you would be welcome to buy it,

I reckon you would be hard pressed to find a half cut vit in adelaide at a reasonable cost? i got one from sydney a couple of years ago for 1600 bucks, i did have a good g16A but sold it to chop! ive still got a 5sp manual if you want to swap out ya auto...i'm swaping in an auto
