we are using the recomended ron 91 fuel. just standard unleadded.
i know being a manual it can ping if loaded up low in the rev range but the pinging is happening at about 3000rpm when accelerating hard.

Will wait till we put a tank of better fuel in it.And if it still happends then i'll make it suzuki's problem.

We get alot of problems at work which we believe is associated to fuel quality. Pinging, engine warnings, sludging, power loss, hesitation etc etc. But we can't tell a customer to use premium because apparently our vehicles can use ethanol (SATAN) and 91RON. Premium fuel will 95% of the time fix the problem.

But, if it still does it with premium you may have another problem..

Does it keep constantly pinging and a real short period @3k? I could understand a few slight 'pings' here and there but in this day and age continual pinging should be a thing of the past. Everything new out there should have a knock sensor which will retard the timing a fraction through the ecu when pinging is sensed.
