I am having trouble getting the gearbox back into my son's sj50. Once the tail end is over the cross member there seems to be insufficient room to manouvre. If I put the box in first I can't get the tail end up over the cross member. Can someone give me some advice please? |

It can be done, but takes a lot of dicking around. Cut a small v into the cross member. iirc the part being cut isnt strutural, i think it's a left over from where the 1.0l gearbox used to bolt up. |

Break the exhaust, tie it out of the way, and put the box in from the left side. bye |
