if u dont want to spend a lot on springs i would reccomend dobinsons. i think they cost me about $60 a spring and they seemed to work ok. just make sure u get 2 right rear springs for the back, not right and left |

they were the std 50mm lift but the right side rear srpings are slightly more robust u could say......due to the sierra leaning over to the right more or something like that. i had carrolls springs on my sierra to start with and i snapped one in half, and replaced them with dobinsons and they worked quite well |

i bought some maxi trax from repco. they were too hard and didnt even flex very well. the rears were so had the shackles were resting against the stop. gave them away for free and bought old man emu's |

Who sell Dobsons springs? Would putting the 50mm lifted ones in be enough to clear 32's? |

i doubt just by putting the lifted springs in u will get enough lift to clear 32's, and that is with any spring, u would prob have to go body lift and extended shackles as well. the place that sells dobinsons is on pickering rd in enoggera but i cant remember the name of it now |

yer 2inch lifted springs and extended shackles barely clears 31s. ya still need some body bashing in there too. |

maxi trac are cheap s#*t. I had a set on my sierra first because they were cheap., 2.5' height increase yes but no travel the drive was so rough. I would constantly have wheels of the ground which would stop me in my tracks were standard height sierras were just driving straight passed. I now have westralia springs. They are 30mm lift but are so flexy it rediculous. Mate them with SPOA and then u can run a set of 32's with no body lift and body bashing. Check out my car domain site for pics of that lift running 32's mongrels. www.cardomain.com/ride/2499516 i think that will work. if not just look for pojectzook when i registered i left the r out woops. sorry the thread is so long |
