Hey gang,
I'm currently sourcing a Liana M18 to replace the cooked M13 in my 2006 jimny (push button 4wd). I'm on a mission to crack the code on switching ecu's with the liana to get the most from my M18. From what I have read the consensus is the jimny ecu has some connections to the 4wd module and the only known way around this is to remove the electronic actuation. This doesn't fly with me, i'm all about the push button life. I'm also an auto electrician and have full workshop facilities at my disposal so i'm going to spend some hours trying to nut this one out and am more than happy to share/document my findings here as they come.
what I am after for at the moment is any information/wiring diagrams/pin outs for the 4wd module and engine ECU.
I have a set of the sn413 service manuals that seem to be getting around the net but after trawling through them can't find anything relevant to the push button 4wd/my model jimny.
so if anyone has anything will be much appreciated and hopefully will pay off to everyone in the future!

Hi Troy, good luck with it. Let us know how you go.
I get the feeling if you can read the programming on both ECUs there may be a away to upload the M18 profile in with the M13. However I have no idea with car ECUs, only PLCs.

Hiya troy....don't know if this is relevant or not but I also run a M18A in my jimny and to overcome the over fuelling problems I was having with the 1.3 ECU I had my dyno guy wire in a XEDE interceptor ECU which is a piggy back system and that fixed my jims problems. Chiptorque in QLD sell them and this may help you out by keeping your 1.3 ECU in place and wiring up the XEDE.
