So I have no idea why it’s doing it!

But the Drivers side indicator rear circuit is burning out on the rear see picture.

I am swapping a g16 into a Lwb Sierra, full vitara loom.

Cars running just struggling with wiring the cluster if anyone’s in VIC happy to pay to have this fixed

Passenger indicator works but no drivers, it was working.

The headlight light comes on and switches of when I turn the headlights on...

If anyone can take a photo of the connectors/wires to the cluster that would be a great help.

Thats gwagons prefered method of doing this swap. Personally i think its alot more effort than it needs to be.
Did you strip back the harness at all or put the entire unmolested harness in. If its complete then you shouldnt have an issue. Look at any stuff thats been adjusted or modded from factory. Sounds like you have 12v going to an earth

Just to clarify, It's absolutely NOT my preferred way of doing the job. I would use this method in an early 1.0litre, or with a whole Vitara motor/AW-4 swap. And under those circumstances I'd use the Vitara gauges. which is what I did because my early 1.0 loom was junk and the effort to install all the required stuff (switches/gauges etc) was high. Otherwise I'd just strip the vitara loom to run the EFI motor, as I've done on other cars.

I know Jon165 successfully swapped Sierra gauges onto a Vitara loom in his car, so it's possible.

I agree, it's far more effort than necessary if the car is an otherwise tidy 1.3 and the conversion is for a manual gearbox.

The loom isn’t stripped apart from the rear to and gearbox/ it’s out of an auto car but to manual Sierra.

Any one got a photo of the original Lwb Sierra loom? And I’ll try again just doing weird stuff atm...

I followed the Warbird and several other apart from the required stripping of course, but it seems like I have Screwed up royally

Is the CEL the next one of the down?

The black earth you applied is shorting the right indicator out.

EDIT: Changed direction as I was looking at diff pic in diff orientation?

Okay so wired them the vit loom as per the diagram below.

Tach works and the light for oil looks like it’s missing out on voltage somewhere, do the power wires need to be switched around?

I’m assuming the oil/ is actually the battery light just wrong light. However when I switched the Two battery/oil wire the tach stops working?

You didn't happen to damage the earth circuit during your previous mistake?

EDIT: I incorrectly referred the common wire at the oil light, battery light, tacho, fuel and water temp as earth, when in fact it is power (B/W).

All the connections are fine I have tested the circuits so no shorts

Just weird tacho works but was jumping up and down, so was the oil. But I believe the oil/battery need to be swapped around.

However I did this and then the tacho stopped working

There can be no shorts, but still enough damage to prevent it working correctly.

Do the other lights work when ignition is on?

What speed does it bounce around at?

Hopefully this helps

The orange wire going into the back of the cluster is connected to the VSS, tab.

The black wire was the earth for the check engine light which (purple and yellow) which I have disconnected at the moment.

The tacho and lighting dim to the cluster depending on the engine rpm; engine idle is fine

I’m assuming one of the powers is diffent to the vitara loom?

No fuses are blowing and I’m not sure how to test the oil or other lights apart from testing the points on the back of the cluster. All globes are working.
