Ey just purchased my first wide track Sierra. It’s got a efs 2inch lift kit and some 235 tyres.
I want to run either 30 or 31 inch tyres.
Should I put a 2inch body lift to help the tyres to fit.
Also I’ve heard people removing leafs for better ride and flex.
What leafs do I remove on the efs leafs. I want to get some sort of flex out of the leafs. Also do I need extended shackles or are they crap.

A 2” BL is the easiest way to clear 31’s. Suspension lift has nothing to do with clearing tyres. I can’t help with which leaves to pull, I haven’t owned EFS leaves, but it’s always a good idea. Lift springs generally don’t flex well. Steer clear of shackles.

Ok thanks. The Sierra came with the efs lift so I’ll just do some searching or ask a suspension place which leafs to remove.
Also with the 2inch body lift dose the rear bar go with the body or is it mounted to the chassis rail.

Generally, the leaf to remove is the 3rd one down in the pack.
It might go: main leaf (with the eyes for bushes); 2nd leaf (may have a 'wrap' at one end, over the main leaf eye); 3rd leaf - not doing a
lot, but adding weight carrying ability; 4th leaf - may have 'clamps' that keep the leaves in line. That could be it on the front. Rear might have another, flatter, heavier leaf on the bottom.

Rear bumper mounts to the chassis.

If they are 235/75s and don’t need replacing the difference to 30’s is minimal. Drive it an enjoy it first. Then decide what mods to do after driving

I'm almost certain the rear bumper bolts to the body Michael - I'll check on the trolley tug later today

WT rear bumper is body mounted, NT are chassis mounted
