Hi All, Wondering if anyone can help as I have run out of G 16 B alternators and I need one, are the G 16 A alternators interchangeable as I have spares of them? The part numbers are different but the mountings and electrical connections are the same. May be different between carby and injected? Help anyone? Thanks in advance Greg |

Carby alternators have lower output. If you own a 10mm drill throw an EL/EF falcon alternator in it and call it good. |

Can you be a little more specific as to what I do with a 10 mm drill? I am not very bright as the alternator has stopped charging! |

My guess is you have two G16A alternators there. The G16B's I've come across all have 60A+ alternators. Check the good tech guide for how to fit an EF/EL alternator to a G16B. It's pretty easy if you have a 10mm drill. I wouldn't spend money on anything else. Steve. |
