I have just changed my rear wheel bearings to remove excessive end float on the right hand side but with new bearings and everything tight the end float is still there . Any ideas as to why its still there |

How much end float do you have? That rear axle is located by the axle bearing, so any movement is either between the inner & outer race of the bearing, or between the outer race of the bearing and the axle housing. |
