i have parts from a 1990 and 1996 with the same shitty flat card door trims, yet i saw a picture of a 1989 hardtop with proper door trims with handles and everything, what models can i get pimp door trims off of for the 96 i am doing ?
was thinking the jlx's must have them, but yeah i have no idea.

Yea JLX is what you are looking for, door trim covers the whole door and sort of molds to the dash as well
