yeah thanks guys, i recon i will just give it a go when u get them.
what the easiest way to change rear springs?
undo the shock, flex that corner and it should fall out?
i dont really have excess to a spring compressor but i might be able to get one if i really need it.
thanks
Mitch

I can tell you now, that even if the 300zx springs do fit, they will be a much heavier spring rate. The Z's weigh in at over 1500kg and have a fair bit or crap up back like rear steer etc, so much higher rate coils than the back of a 180.
You may find them too harsh.

crack wheel nuts, remove shocks, jack it up, axle stands under the end of the chassis near the front trailing arm mount, remove wheels, push down & remove springs...
I can get my MEGA long calmini springs in with out a spring compressor, they should just fall out & the new ones should just fall in.

hey all,
thanks atari ill give it ago.
i still haven't received the springs from my mate yet:( but i have been tracking down some 180sx springs.
one of the wreckers has them for sale at $50 each, is that pretty good??
Fatzook did all models come with the heavier rear end? as a mate of mine used to have a 300zx and his didnt have the rear steer. im not saying that they didnt come with rear steer just that some models may be different.
thanks
Mitch

Hi Mitch,
ALL Z32 300zx came with HICAS rear steer. ALL of them. However I know nothing about the Z31 (pre 89), which may have had a coil rear, and most probably did not have rear steer.
This is a Z32
