How do I get the front body bolts (by the radiator) out?

I've got the bumper off, I've looked under the bonnet... I just can't seem to locate the top of the bolt!

I had a look but I can't seem to get my fingers on it... do I need to take something else out to get at it?

Which kit are you using??

A 1 Inch kit from Lowrangeoffroad

If you were using a Just_Cruizin kit he supplies new nuts and bolts for those mounts for that very reason. The bolt is nearly always siezed in the nut, usually the captive nut breaks free and just spins.

Can I ask why only 1 inch lift?

Only one inch because I don't need any more than that....

I'm only running 29 Inch tyres with no intention of going any bigger... Adding an extra inch just increases COG witout any real benefit....

Ok, well I attacked the rest of the bolts this weekend, the front two both sheared off but the rest are ok...

The problem I'm having now is I can't get a drill onto whats left of the bolts cos the body work is in the way, which makes it pretty tricky to get an easy out on it...

I'm thinking my only option may be to take a grinder to the captive nuts, unless anyone has a better idea??

Ive herd of people having to grind them off before so it might be ya best bet

you can buy a 90 degree drill tool, so you point the drill at the headlight and the bit is pointing downward to the bolt. Bunnings sell em i think.

Just grind or cold chisel off the nut. Don't bother trying to revive it
