Hey Rick, do you know what has been changed/modded to get the toyota CV's onto the anvil & does the widening mod need to be done to run the CV?

Yea so there are a few things involved,
Going from the outside in,
Toyota Locking hubs, adaptor plate, Brass bush, Toyota CV, adaptor plate, GV axles.
So an adaptor plate bolts to the longside GV axle and there is a new short side axle.
The widening mod does need to be done as the Toyota CV with the adaptor plate does make it longer that a stock Vit CV.

what type of toyota cv is used? Might just buy one, test the waters, and see what type of mods will have to be done.

Hey guys,
Just reminding any Vitara heads that this is still here.. If you are serious about having a hardcore IFS Vit then this setup is your best option. No more cracked diff housings, same CV for easy changing and an air locker. Can be used with stock CV's or Hilux (with widening mod). If you are going to spend big bucks on big tyres for your Vit you are crazy not to pick this up...
GV Third member
GV centre
Anvil 3" drop housing
ARB air locker
Hilux CV conversion kit
$2000 call 0415 148 385 or pm me
Scratch on housing from bent steering rod:

It will and I don't know either, there is now way to get this any cheaper.
Timbo paid about $900 landed for a bare Anvil
An Air locker will cost $1150 alone then you will need to get a steel GV front housing and long side axle, that will be another $500
Then there is the Toyota CV conversion that was something like $800 US, and good luck trying to find it. Then you would need to buy hubs to go with it.
This front end would cost more than $3000 to set up and there are spare toyota cv's
