also have 4 x 31x15x11.5 hankook dynapro tyres on -28 offset black trax 2 rims to suit suzuki.

By measuring the telemtry of the angle of incidence and then multiplying by the sine of that angle and divding that measurement by the maximum tread of the original tyre. I suppose I could have used the cosecant
How did you work yours out??

I measure my tread wear by finding the max tread depth, double differentiate it once I turn it into a quadratic. then factorise and fine the square root of each factor. The use a cos rule and dividing the two factors by one and other.

i just look for the half wear bar and estimate how much tread is on top of that as to how much is still left but use maths if thats how you prefer to estimate

if you differentiate a quadratic twice there should be only 1 factor...
how hard is it to look up manufacturer's specifications for tread depth and divide what yours have by what they had new...

they are 15x8 rims trax 2 black -28 offset with 31x11.5x15LT hankook mt.
claws are gone

tires dont have half wear bars that would be the min tread line, 2 somthing mm above that is min wear.

oh and for gypsy these tyres do have half wear bar because there is another wear bar much further down the tyre
