Het scrawn. Everyone I know that has an iphone ( that I am aware of) had had it fail. My mrs just got one 2 weeks ago, I4, dead already

I did warn here though.... All of her other apple products ( 3 ipods, nano etc) have failed after a few months of use.

But hey, as long as you look cool with your glass back Ifail thats all that matters

Only issue I've had with mine was the silent button was intermittent. It was replaced under warranty, even though it had a cracked screen from being dropped  Wifey has i4 and has no issues. I'm happy with them but I guess everyone is different

My work has mainly 3G's ... probably 20 of them out kicking around with site engineers in their pockets ... and not aware of any problems in the year maybe that we've had them. Wife's work has about 15 4G's ... only had them a couple of months but no issues so far.

I treat mine pretty roughly too. No case or screen protector, just slipped in the pocket. Stays there crawling through roofs, under floors, digging holes, etc. :P

Just luck of the draw I guess.

My 4 works just fine. I'm on it right now, I have wireless and I'm too lazy to get up off the lounge and go into the computer room  Mine has been dropped a few times and is still going like new.

I had a 3G for 2 1/2 years...never had a problem.
The company just change over to I4 so now I have one of them too and within a month, Ive had it replaced 3 times. Still like it though.
That said and done, I've had dodgy nokias too.

I've had my iPhone 4 6 months now and still going good
Few scratches on the screen sitting in my pocket while at work (civil constructor )
I've had it dropped 5m on cement while trying to slide down some stairs
Fell out my pocket and it landed hard on the screen
No cracks at all, there pretty tuff
Only problem I have that shit me of is it occasionally doesn't let me hear the person on the other end( they can hear me)

Good luck with the sale
