make sure you put international postage as an option on the grill cause those grills will fetch anywhere up to $250 US as the will fit LJ20 as well

Hi All,

TZAR, LJ20's must be getting quite collectable! You have jogged my memory, I met a bloke a few years back. He told me Ateco bought 6 of them in for their sales reps to play with, him being one of them and apparently they copped a flogging and stood up to the test. Needless to say, they chose to import Suzuki's!

The last grill that I sold recently went to a guy who is building a dragcar with a chopped and lenghtened LJ50V! Something tells me it is going to go faster than it ever has.

Greg

He has been like this all along - Ask him for something and says he has it then lists it on Ebay - Commercial advertising without paying Royce to help with the board.

Hi All,
Ahh just looked and noticed the replies! Sorry fellas, guilty of not looking at this post.

Tony, I offered you some LJ50 parts, re Grill, Wheel carrier and possibly a radiator with no responce from you so I assumed you had made other arrangements. Also previously emailed you some photos of LJ50 parts and received no reply. So I assumed you made other arrangements! Then I put them on ebay for obvious reasons, not the way that you describe. Do I need to pay to put a post on this site as this is news to me? By the way did old mate with the LJ50 parts book help you out with a copy like I had hoped? Now that I know that someone is interested in some softtop wheel carriers, I will take some photos over the weekend and post them next week.

2stroker, your offer for the steering wheel is all good ,no problems. Pm me your address and phone number and we will take it from there. Alternately if you are getting one of tanshi, not a problem, let me know.
My phone number is 0428 789854 and it is the best way to contact me as I have limited access to the net and still learning.

You only need to pay to post on here if its a commercial enterprise i believe.

if you just selling parts you have spare laying around there isnt an issue.

Just a note to fellow LJ owners to say I picked up some parts from Greg yesterday and found him to be extremely helpful and very fair to deal with!
He has heaps of stuff and is happy to help genuine buyers.
Give him a ring if your stuck for that part.

What's this about an LJ50 parts book copy?

I'd like to get a copy if any are floating around!

It would be a great asset to the LJ community to get a copy up somewhere like LJ10.com.

Hi All,
Tanshi, thanks for replying, think that I come into the clearing the shed of spare parts to make room for my next project category. So I am offering bits and pieces to anyone who wants them on this site, if they are on ebay, I have been adding a link.

Hoops, nice talking Suzukis with you and hope the windscreen made it home without any damage!

Amman, A bloke rang me about the LJ50 front guards on ebay. In the conversation he told me he had the LJ50 parts book and offered to copy it for me. As I am selling all of my LJ50 parts, I don't need the book so I passed on the phone number to Tony and he said he is going to try to get it available to everyone!

how about listing what you have on here as a forsale ad first, then if it doesn't sell list it on ebay?

Post subject:  Re: My spare LJ series parts on ebay

Hi All,
Kenny, Some background on me for anyone interested. Back in the 80's, the local wreckers would not buy Suzuki 4x4's, I found this out when I did the rounds looking for parts for my LJ50 softtop and later LJ81. Had to look elsewhere, so buying rusty or broken ones off farms was the only way. Sometimes I would make one from 3 or 4 and sometimes more, and then sell them as farm run-arounds, some even got rego and I would drive for a while until my interest moved on. Doing this meant I got to know a lot of farmers, beach fisherman and pretty much anyone who enjoyed Suzuki's, young through to old.
This created a shed full of spares and I recently decided to sell them and recoup the space. Registered on ebay at the same time as AZ and I did not want to discriminate or exclude anyone. Putting links to things on ebay was suggested and this totally sat well with me. Thanks AZ crew for technical support as my computer skills are limited.

Post subject:  Re: My spare LJ series parts on ebay

Hi All,
Now that I have laid my cards on the table, there is a couple of things that I don't understand?

Firstly, how do I place a value on parts up to 37 years old? Some people have limited incomes or find it challenging to buy for the absolutely cheapest price (bargain hunters) and that is fine with me. Whereas others have a huge disposable income and simply want it no matter what and that is fine with me, as is anywhere in-between.

Secondly, not everyone is good with computers, but it seems everyone knows someone on ebay who can look out for things of interest for them.

Thirdly, quite a few people are calling me for parts, this is fine with me and I am happy to help, I have not asked if they got my number off AZ or ebay?

Finally, why do you want me to limit my parts just to this website?

Regards

We have a forum rule: No auctions or EOIs. If you want to advertise it here, put a price on it.

It is one of the very few rules that we do have, but it is enforced.

By all means advertise in as many places as you like, but if it's here, it needs a price.

Hi All,

Tanshi, sorry this has taken so long for me to reply as I have been busy.

Have given some thought about Buy it now prices, and the problem I have is how do we value old and sometimes rusty parts?

All of my LJ50 windscreen frames have either been sold or accounted for a few weeks ago. Is there any other parts that I may be able to help you with?
