| Post subject: | 15x8 KPDLOCK Alloy beadlocks - Sierra/Vitara -taking orders |
Hey Guys, I'm doing another run of Alloy Beadlocks for the comp jeep and some patrols. Before I finalise the order I'll put the offer out to you guys if you want to get in on the KPDLOCK Beadlock wheel. The Wheel is a 15x8 Beadlock with -25 offset. This is the only offset choice available. I've been running them on my zook for a while now and they are a solid performing wheel. They'll hold 3psi for weeks on end if you want them to. They are 7.5kgs each and are 3000lb load rated making them a strong light wheel for offroad use. These are an OFFROAD USE ONLY wheel. They are a custom made mechanical beadlock which as far as I'm aware is not allowed to be legally driven on the road. So, Drive on the road AT YOUR OWN RISK. To the best of my knowledge these are the cheapest alloy beadlocks you can buy on the current market. I have changed the design of the inner wheel slightly from the set below to accommodate bigger brakes (eg patrol/cruiser) and this next run will also not require you to buy new longer studs as the Bolt holes in the centre will be machined a little deeper allowing sufficient thread engagement with the wheel nut. The wheel design is a 3 piece design: The Wheel centre is a CNC Machined and polished billet alloy centre The Wheel outers are a spun alloy making their properties closer to high tensile steel than a Cast alloy wheel like a CSA mag wheel for example. The three pieces of the wheel are welded together using a CNC machine welding process offering excellent repetitive quality welds and 100% strength. The benefits are: 1. Big hits will not crack the material, it will flex and or bend before it cracks, unlike cast wheels 2. The beadlock mounting surface is machined with a ribbed surface to prevent the tyre bead from slipping on the rim in low pressure situations 3. The beadlock mounting surface also has a stepped recess to centre the tyre bead perfectly on the rim making installs very simple. 4. 24 High tensile Grade 8 bolts hold the beadlock onto the wheel, threading into steel sleeved inserts set into the wheel. If you happen to strip a thread, the steel insert can be replaced, meaning the wheel is still good to go and won't be damaged. 5. Super light. These wheels will increase the performance of your rig. Being only 7.5kgs each, approx half the weight of the equivilent steel 5 spoke wheel, you can expect less rolling resistance and better acceleration due to lower overall wheel weight. 6. 3000lb load rating is equivalent in strength to the likes of a Walker Evans beadlock. ![]() ![]()

No way to run these without using them as beadlocks (therefore being able to run them on the road) or is that also not allowed as even if you're not using them as beadlocks, they are still beadlock rims and therefore not allowed on road fullstop. |

Not sure, but the few purpose built alloy beadlocked rims I've seen have a different bead design, and wouldn't be able to hold the bead without it being sandwiched by the locking ring. That aside, Mechanical bead locks are illegal for road use. Doubt it would matter if the bead was secured or not. |

Ey lads, I have designs made up for 6 stud as well so if you want them I can get them made in this run no problem. Same price. The offset looks big because the wheels are dished whereas a normal steely is more square at the junction of the rim and the centre. Thanks for the good feedback guys. Now all we need is some orders! |

Fark, I wish I had the money right now! Are you going to do any of these in the future? And are you going to do any different widths or offset's? |

I will speak to the manufacturer and see if they will do a non Beadlock version seeing as there is interest. Right now, 15x8 -25 is your choice in 6x5.5 (cruiser/hilux/patrol) or 5x5.5 (early jeep/sierra/vitara/f100) PCD. No other options at this point in time. Trying to keep things simple. Planning to do runs of these a few times a year. If demand is good I'll start holding stock but that's probably a year away at least until I can develop the capital to commit to this product line. |
