Rebuilt stoko done by someone that knows what they are doing. Hasn't failed me since the 2 and a bit years since it has been done. Starts everytime off the key in the morning, choke works like it is suppose to. They are a good unit if done correctly |

I love webers, but, i am into speed, sever angles are over come by big speed. Airborn is soooo much fun If you are into rock, read, slow crawling stuff, wrong carby. If you are into lesser angle, excellent carby, huge increase in power, mostly, same, or better, fuel milage. |

Can hold 110 on the highway no probs, zippy as a Sierra can be off the standing start  I have never owned a weber, but the ones that I have seen on zooks all fail due to fuel starvation.

Heavy angles, they trend to flood, but that is extreme angles. Bitumen, makes a lil 1.3l go like a scalded cat. Big power upgrade, but, to trully harness the power, you do need both inlet and out let upgrade. |

yer the weber i got had heaps of power, i dont no what went wrong with it. it just fucked up i guess. use reckon just try find a second handy or lash out and get a new one? i dont wanna do anything reall extreme, still bit put off from rolling my last ute 4wdin |

I still cant understand everyones hate for webers. I ran one for ages and loved it. it performed just as well as a stock sierra carby but had heaps more power on the hwy. If the webers were as bad as everyone says they are then someone better tell the yanks. They love them. Wit a few small mods and a bit of tuning they work well on angles. only thing they dont like is having restrictive ibtakes connected to them. the sierra airbox doesnt flow enough air for them. B4T |

Yeah Built4thrashing I have been reading people bag Webers since I have been on this site, just let them go mate, it has enabled me to buy some cheap ones. Please anyone feel free to jump and correct me if I am wrong but as far as I have read NOONE on this site has actually purchased a NEW Weber, had it fitted by a profesional, had it jetted, fitted the Weber offroad angle kit, dynoed and set up to properly suit their engine at a reputable shop that specialises in carbies. Most Weber haters have either fitted an old second hand Weber from a completely different engine that is not set up or running properly or have just read what other Weber haters have written and jumped on the band wagon. Oh one thing, please before you do jump on and say that you have had one new, setup properly, jetted and dyno'd please scan your reciepts for all to see cause talk is cheap. |

I got mine second-hand, re-bushed the butterfly shafts and skimmed the base, did a couple of jet changes by feel/sound and set the float super low. I also drilled another transition port in the main throat to pull the main fuel circuit on earlier to get rid of the lean stumble just above idle and presto!! She worked great for the 3yrs I owned it!! Finally checked it on my mates dyno and pulled an average AFR or 13:1 across the rev range! So was pretty stoked about my tune-by-feel approach 
Slightly better fuel economy on the highway than std but with the extra boot for overtaking. Went anywhere I wanted it to go off-road with minimal issues either. |

Jr, I think you will find, 2stroker was speaking to the so called weber haters, not those of us who enjoy them. Like 2stroker, I believe many of the weber haters, have probably never even seen a weber, just jump on the band wagon to make it sound like they know something. |

Webbers are great. I had one installed and tuned professionally. Will cost you around $1000 or more to do it properly if you buy a new one and have someone install and tune it. Great economy (500km per tank against 300km with clapped out suzi carby), great power, starts easy on cold mornings. Try to get a Webber with a choke and a cutout solenoid. I havent found a hill that it shits itself on yet, although I haven't been trying too hard. |
