Howdy all,
Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction here. I've bought a fridge and want to run the wiring for it from the battery to the rear right hand inside quarter panel. I figured I would just follow the factory cable run, but I'm a little confused on how exactly they get the wiring in there.
Starting from the rear, I've managed to get it from behind the right tail light, across to the left tail light, and now up to the left rear speaker.
From peaking through the speaker hole, from here on it seems to go inside the sill and emerges at the front kicker panel, before going up and through the rubber grommet into the engine bay.
Anyone got any pointers on how I get it through the sills? Lifting up the carpet/trim panel shows its sealed from inside. Before I go ripping the outer skirt off it, is someone able to confirm for me this is how I'm meant to do it? I assume it must be as I cant see any other bloody way to get to it.

And here I was thinking it would be a quick 20 minute job.

Jeez sounds like you have made a simple job difficult... Why didnt you just run a wire through the firewall near the battery, where the other wires go through, and run the wire under the carpet, close to the door sill, but put the wire inside that split flexible conduit they use for Auto wiring, to protect it, its only $10 for 5mtrs, then take the wire inside the rear panel, and up over the wheel arch, then put on a cigarette lighter socket or whatever you need, then all done !
Just dont forget to put a fuse on that wire !

Somewhere near the battery is best...
I would put a relay on it to, so it works off the ACC, and only has power when the key is on, that way you dont forget the fridge is still connected, and end up with a flat battery !
