That price is what they quoted me. They didn't have prices on their site for the RD88 kit

Here is the email from china soong:
Dear Conrad,
Thanks for your inquiry and wish you had a good weekend!
As usually, for one set of RD88 for sample, the price will be US$446.00. Pls check in the attachment for the price list. But we also want to build long time business, so I can offer you the price US$425.00 that the price based on more than 10 sets.
And shipping to Australia by express delivery, it is about US$181.60 to your door.
So the total will be $627 delivered to WA Postcode 6233
I'm trying to get the shipping down
Conrad

I would suggest waiting a few days and they will get back to you with a cheaper price.
That's my experience with GIZ.

Something to think about is that the ChinaSoong people wanted an ABN when i originally looked at buying a set. I did however find another website/company that has access to a number of suppliers but didn't say i needed an ABN to buy.... the website was Alibaba.com
I'm interested in a group buy but just remember if your bringing in multiple units you may raise the interest of customs or the ATO (maybe?), I'm sure they'll try to get thier cut if they think there is any chance you may make any sort of money out of bringing them in...

When I was in the UK, I imported a fair amount of gun crap from various chinese suppliers (red-dot sights, foregrips etc). Basically they would put whatever I wanted on the docket for customs purposes. For example, I bought an expensive Aimpoint 30mm red-dot scope and the invoice said "toy parts" value $30. While I'm not sure if we could do the same thing here, it's probably worth investigating for customs sake.
Just looking at the price difference between 1 or 10+ it's probably not worth the bother with a group buy anyway.
Just my 2 bob

Ask them exactly how and with who they will ship with and if its is DDP TO YOUR DOOR
if they just do it CFR seafreight in a container, youll be up for a few hundred in fees for a freight forwarder this end and you will get hit for duty and tax regardless of value

They only do Airfreight. DHL to your door within 7 days of confirmation of money transfer.
Got 2 lockers 2 weeks ago landed to my door less than $1200 AUD (inc freight)
Found them easy to deal with and had prompt replies to all my questions.

i just got this quote from www.china4x4extreme.com
Our RD88 prices should need $450.00 each one include the air compressor together.
The two RD88 shipping to your address of Australia should need $260.00.
So the total cost for 2X$450.00+$260.00=$1160.00.
If you think the everything is good for you. Then please tell us your detailed company name, phone number and address information. So we could make the proforma invoice for you to payment.

So who has used china4x4extreme.com for their diff lockers? I got a quote from them it was $590 for a RD88, with loom switches and compressor delivered to my door in Australind, WA, 6233.
Sounds pretty good.
Hey would i have to change my axles in my 1995 Suzuki Sierra, to make this fit (RD88). What about the front diff could i get one and bolt it straight in? Or are the axles from the front and back of the sierra different? ( Number of splines) are the splines like this.
23 splines front and 26 rear?
Thanks for your help guys.
Conrad

Sent them an email about the RD88 locker and got this reply .
Quote: RD88 is US$446.00 / set, together with air compressor and all the other accessories. The postage to Australia is about US$171.60 by express delivery to your door.
not a bad price for the kit but Damb the post is expensive.

Is anyone interested?

Depends on when, but yea.
Also freight may not be so harsh, group buy, delivered by ship, win win.
I have needed lockers prob 2 or 3 times in the last few years, never considered them as ARB are over the top for something that may get used for a minute or so once a year, but these, yea recon as they could be the go.

That's what I'm thinking I'm in no hurry but the more people in the better the price.
They seem reasonable to deal with and have been replying fairly fast
I'll post up the best price I can get when I get a reply
